The Free Student Union (FSU) is formed through a direct election system in colleges across Nepal. FSU elections play a crucial role in student life, with students actively engaging in the democratic process to elect their representatives. The election determines positions such as president, vice-president, general secretary, and other members of the student union. Candidates from various parties campaign energetically, promoting their agendas and pledges to the student body. Once elected, these representatives assume their duties and advocate for students within their respective colleges.
The FSU is a student-led union established to promote the welfare of students. Its primary purpose is to foster a conducive environment for learning within the college, develop and implement programs that enhance the intellectual growth of the student community, and continuously fight for the rights of students.
